How is the Workman XL different from cheaper ATV trailers?
Most budget ATV trailers use manual tipping mechanisms, lighter steel, single axles, and small tires with limited ground clearance. The Workman XL adds electric dumping, dual axles with a 1,600-pound GVWR, electric brakes, 25″ x 12″ x 9″ 4PR tires with 11 inches of ground clearance, welded 14-gauge steel construction, and a 2-year limited warranty. It is built for daily work in real conditions, not occasional light hauling.
Can I spread gravel with the Workman XL while moving?
Yes. Trigger the dump while driving slowly forward and material flows out evenly as you go, letting you cover a driveway or path in one pass without stopping to reposition.
How does the electric dump system work?
A push-button controller triggers an electric actuator with a 55:1 gear ratio and 12-inch stroke that lifts the bed. The actuator takes 50 seconds to fully extend and is rated to lift up to 1,050 pounds without manual assistance. The bed tilts at enough of an angle to empty completely on its own.
What vehicles can tow the Workman XL?
The Workman XL is compatible with ATVs and UTVs from 200cc and up, as well as sub-compact and compact tractors. A minimum of 18 horsepower and 350cc 4WD is required. It connects via a standard 2-inch ball hitch. Check your vehicle’s towing capacity against the 1,600-pound GVWR before ordering.
