Hi, everyone. Matt Metzger here at ABI Attachments. I am here with Josh, the Stony Ridge Farmer. A lot of you probably know Josh, know his face. Know his fun attitude from his YouTube channel. Stoney Rich Farmer. If you’ve never seen it before. Check it out. He’s doing some amazing work here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Stoneville, North Carolina. And he’s turning an old tobacco plantation into what can be what will be a cow calf operation. We are currently standing on a site that’s about two to three acres total. We’ve just used the TR3. It’s an eight and a half foot CAT2 model. First impressions. What do you think?

Well, I think it’s awesome. It’s done a great job. I wish I had it three years ago. So behind the scenes, behind the camera over here is about thirty five acres that we cleared. We hired a lot of it done instead of doing a lot of this stuff that we’re doing today ourselves. We hired it done. And we didn’t really hire finish work like this does. We we hired rough work. In other words, a disc harrow. And that’s typically what people do when they clear land is they go in behind a bulldozer crew or excavator crew and they either disc it or drag it or drag a telephone pole behind a disc or something. And that’s exactly what we did.

We had two 16-foot this disc harrows with 120 horsepower John Deere tractor and we did all of our fields with that. Dragging a log with a knot in it. So the log had a knot in it about like this. So you can imagine I had a little knot furrows all the way through the entire field. If you run through the field right now. You still feel him. When I look out here now, I see what it looks like. I want to get some skis, man. I just want to ski down this hill because it’s just groomed perfectly and the soil is loose and we’re ready for seed.

This is hands down been the best thing that I’ve put my hands on for smoothing and leveling land after we cleared. And that’s the main thing, is to run over it once or twice, not four times, not hiring the work done, but doing this, ripping the ground up, getting a seed bed prepped, smoothing the land out. You’ve got a ridge. You work it down with this and you pull that ridge out and you ready for seed. Not what we had before. I would go over this with a landscape rake. I would go over it if it was really rough. There’s nothing I could do about it, really. Whatever the bulldozer left behind, all I can do is go over it and scrape like this. And that’s it. And I can paw at it. This doesn’t paw at it. This pulls it up and puts it where you want it.

When we first pulled this off the crate, I love what you call it right away. You looked at you said Matt, kind of looks like a Rubik’s Cube. I’ve never seen anything like it. Like you said, a lot of people have never seen before. Yeah. Yes. You’re comfort level with it?

When you get on the website and you look at it. It’s hard to wrap your head around it. Like what does it do? And the TR3, it means it’s a three in one tractor tool and there aren’t a lot of three and one tractor tools. Really. I’m I’m a multi-tool kind of guy. I want to buy one tool that does everything I need to do and not have to hook and hook and hook and unhook and hook in on a hook. And I get that comment a lot on the channel. Man, you need quick attach. You know, I don’t want to unhook fifteen things and put fifteen things back up.

Had done a lot of work in an hour and a half here, we ripped it up.

Well, we sure appreciate you putting the TR3 in the back of your tractor. We appreciate you trust in us to put the tool in the ground and prepare this for what you’ve got coming in the future. Appreciate your time, sir.

Thanks, man.

Thank you very much.

It was fun. Good time. And it looks good.
